San
Francisco Adult Day Services Network is all about healthcare!
As you help us provide our services, we want Dance2Care to benefit
your physical, mental and emotional health through the opportunity
to dance and move
AND through a fun, engaging and social atmosphere with rewarding
incentives, entertainment and good-natured competitions.
San
Francisco Adult Day Services Network: "Network" shares
the definition of; (1) an association of nonprofit adult day
services agencies (ADS), including the program models of Adult
Day Health Care Adult Day Programs and Alzheimer's Day Care
Resource Centers, that provide direct healthcare services for
chronically ill seniors and adults with disabilities; and (2)
a "convener" that facilitates leadership and assists
the agencies to collaboratively pool resources, share expertise
and be a unified voice for issues impacting their participants
and caregivers, staff and healthcare industry. ADS programs
are affordable services that lower risk of falls, reduce emergency
and hospital visits, decreases isolation and depression and
delays or prevents placement in institutionalized care. 70%
of our participants are over 70 years old. 20 languages are
spoken/translated.
WHAT IS Dance2Care?
Dance2Care is a collaborative fundraiser. It provides an opportunity
for the Network and its member agencies to raise money for their
programs and increase public awareness. Member agencies participating
in the dance-a-thon receive 75% of monies collected and the
Network retains 25% to coordinate and produce the event. (90%/10%
for funds raised above $5,000.) Registration for Network members
is free.
